What is Hydronic Heating?


Overview


  • Hydronic heating utilizes water to transfer thermal energy from it's source to it's destination. The 'source' can be a boiler, a hot water heater, or other appliance that generates heat for heating the water. The 'destination' is an emitter such as an infloor loop based system, fan coil, or indirect heater for domestic hot water. Circulator pumps move the water throughout the systems.
